Xincheng (Xavier) Ma is an associate in the firm’s New York office, where he focuses on patent litigation, patent prosecution, and IP due diligence. After graduating from Nanjing University with a B.S. in Physics, Xincheng obtained his J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center. During law school, he served as Director of Patents for the Student Intellectual Property Law Association and Solicitation Editor for the Georgetown Law Technology Review. Xincheng’s article “TC Heartland, a Legally Wrong Painkiller for the Forum Shopping Problem” was published by the Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property.
Before joining Haug Partners, Xincheng worked in the IP department of a major Chinese drone manufacturer and the Patent Prosecution Group of an international law firm. He has experience with patent litigation, prosecution, and counseling across a wide range of technologies, with concentrations in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), autonomous driving, telecommunication, secured payment, and control systems. Xincheng is fluent in Mandarin.
